Introducing Tomas Eoin: The Community-Focused Floor Manager at The Hague Tech

We are thrilled to introduce Tomas Eoin, the new Floor Manager at The Hague Tech, whose diverse experiences and deep commitment to fostering collaborative environments bring a fresh and dynamic perspective to our community. His goal is to make every community member's life a bit easier and a lot more connected.

Tomas's career began in the hospitality industry, where he spent nine years honing his skills. As a cocktail bartender and manager, Tomas worked in family-owned distilleries, bars, and restaurants in Ireland. His transition from hospitality to The Hague Tech was sparked by a chance proposition from members who saw his potential to invigorate our tech community.

As the Floor Manager, Tomas sees himself as making everyone's life easier and ensuring the smooth running of community events. His role is multifaceted, focusing on event management, stress reduction for the team, and upholding the core principles of The Hague Tech. Tomas is dedicated to ensuring that our community members experience the full benefits of being part of The Hague Tech, from networking opportunities to community support.

Despite not having a tech background, Tomas’s strength lies in his ability to connect with people. He believes in the power of personal interactions and is passionate about understanding what motivates individuals. This people-centric approach allows him to facilitate meaningful connections and enhance the community's overall experience.

One of the most exciting aspects of Tomas’s role is witnessing the incredible intelligence and creativity within our community. He finds it fascinating to see how highly skilled individuals in AI, programming, and other tech fields interact and collaborate. Tomas enjoys the spontaneous and productive conversations that happen at lunches and networking events, often leading to new ideas and partnerships.

Tomas is enthusiastic about revitalizing monthly community events at The Hague Tech. From Fourth of July barbecues to Dragon's Den-style challenges, he aims to create engaging experiences that go beyond just providing office space. Tomas also encourages member-led initiatives, such as the computer lab and product pizza nights, to foster a sense of ownership and collaboration within the community.

With a multicultural background, both Irish and American, Tomas brings a unique perspective to The Hague Tech. He values learning from diverse experiences and is always open to new ideas. His entrepreneurial family background instilled in him the importance of combining the best of both worlds, and he aims to implement this philosophy in his role.

Tomas’s vision for The Hague Tech is centered around community-driven ideas and spontaneous, effective decision-making. He believes in learning from the community and facilitating ways to implement innovative solutions that benefit everyone. Tomas is excited about the potential changes and new initiatives that will shape the future of The Hague Tech.
